If you would like to influence the direction and development of historical education and the arts locally, Kemper Center is looking for you.

The challenges for a non-profit certainly do not get any easier during a time of economic difficulty.  But through the challenges of the times, we have found ways to improve and grow our organization, while we remain true to the mission of Kemper Center, Inc.  Kemper Center is organized exclusively for charitable, cultural and educational purposes.  The purpose of our mission is to:

Preserve the historic nature of the site and buildings;
Offer programs that promote the understanding of local history;
Provide a historic setting for cultural, educational and recreational activities.

As we execute the mission of Kemper, we are mindful that we cannot thrive on our own.  We continue to have a healthy working relationship with local government units, including the County Executive and his staff,  and the various County Board Committees we periodically report to.  We have partnered with the City of Kenosha over the years on several projects.  The business community has not left Kemper unnoticed either, as sponsorship of events, corporate giving and work in kind are all gratefully accepted and a significant part of how we get so much done each and every year.  We benefit tremendously from thousands of hours of volunteer support to make Kemper a reality.  From docents at the Durkee Mansion and the Anderson Arts Center, to landscapers on our grounds, it is the fuel of volunteer energy that keeps our organization running.

The members of our organization are the ones that influence local business leaders and government officials that Kemper is a worthwhile investment, and members are also often the volunteers mentioned earlier.  It is the membership that help encourage attendance to our cultural events and are the source of that premium word of mouth advertising that we enjoy.

Announce your desire now to make a meaningful contribution to the advancement of local historical education and the arts.  Help make Kemper Center into an organization widely recognized and a significant participant in history, the arts, and culture in the Midwest.  A minimum membership contribution of $50 includes publication of your name on the membership roster, voting privileges at annual meetings, eligibility for nomination to the Board of Directors, three annual newsletters, and advance notice of events and classes.  Premium member benefits are as follows:
