Welcome to Kemper Center
We are a private, nonprofit organization focusing on preserving the historic nature of the site and offering programs that promote the arts, arts education and local history.
We are home to the Anderson Arts Center, the area’s premier venue for exhibitions, workshops, performances, and family oriented events.
We are also home to the historic Durkee Mansion, home of U.S. Senetor Charles Durkee, and Kemper Hall, alma mater to alumnae across the country. We are listed on the National Registrar of Historic Places.
Kemper Center is located on 17.5 acres of beautiful park land along the Lake Michigan shoreline with an athletic field, walking and biking path, and a beautiful arboretum.
Kemper Center is a beautiful place to plan an event or work! Rent our venue for weddings, receptions, business meetings, and other important occasions. Offices and suites also available for lease to the public.
